EXAMPLE :
73/4 × 6 =
Change the mixed number into improper fraction .
Multiply the denominator by the whole number , then add the numerator. 4×7 = 28 +3 =3
31× 6 =

Simplify by a common divisor
31 × 6 3
4 2
Multiply the numerators 31 × 3 = 93
= 93/2 change the improper fraction into mixed number
Divide the numerator by the denominator 93÷2 = 46 1/2
