CONSERVED  FEEDS.

To conserve means  to  preserve for  future  use.

• These are harvested feeds  from fodder  and 
• They are  stored  /preserved  inform  of  hay  and  silage  to  be  fed  to  animals 

at  later  date.

1.HAY

• These are types  of  feeds  that are  cut  when  dry  then  tied    in  bales  /bundles.
• Thes e feeds  are stored  to  be  fed  to  animals  during  dry  seasons .
• Hay is  mainly  made  from  pasture  crops

2.SILAGE.

• These are types  of  feeds  that  are  cut  off  when  plants  reach  flowering  stage .
• Farmers chop  them  into   small  pieces  and  then  compress  them  to  remove  air 

to  prevent  rotting.
